What’s next? Currently I’m writing the sequel to My Boss is a Serial Killer, which is called My Boss is a Dead Man: A Tale of Passion, Greed and Job Interviews. Divulging too much of the plot here would include spoilers from the first book, so I’m going to be awfully dodgy about it. Readers of My Boss is a Serial Killer will be familiar with the psychotic sadist, Carol’s former boss, so-named because of his charming personality and work ethic. When the psychotic sadist is murdered, everyone is a suspect—but someone has gone out of their way to frame Carol Frank. Some of my favorite parts so far: Carol’s job interview with a kleptomaniac. A snobbish law firm that seems to be inhabited by blonde clones. Alternate uses for glass paperweights. The continued senseless destruction of Carol’s favorite clothing. And Carol’s most nerve-wracking challenge of all: meeting the son of her detective boyfriend, Gus Haglund.
